Virtual FFL-UK Conference Schedule

Dear Friends,
Welcome to the T-1 Today UK Virtual Friends for Life® UK 2021 Conference!
As you will know, we had hoped & planned to meet in-person this year, but at the last moment a decision was taken to move virtual due to safety concerns along with rising Covid rates.
Last year's virtual conference was a great success - so we sure this year will be the same!
Whether you are logging on from near or far, are new to the T1 world or are more experienced, we know that this three-day event will leave you with new technology concepts to think about, new ideas for diabetes management, new advocacy routes, and best of all
— new friends.
Please take a few minutes to look over the schedule for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. For each of the sessions, please logon and join the meetings a few minutes beforehand. We have plenty of opportunities to meet other attendees in a sociable online environment including a T1 Adults/Young Adults/Significant Others Meet Up, First Timer’s Meet Up, Family Bingo and a Pub Quiz on Friday. We look forward to seeing you there!
** Focus Groups are on Wednesday 20th October:
• 17.30 - 18.30 : Advanced Therapeutics
• 18.45 - 19.45 : Insulet
• 20.00 - 21.00 : Dexcom
This year we have 2 or 3 adult breakouts per adult session, including a full programme for T1 Adults/Young Adults (over 18’s) and their Significant Others.
The children’s age group sessions can be found in the programme and include the following:
• Reception (ages 3-5)
• Elementary (ages 6-9)
• Tweens (ages 10-12)
• Teens (ages 13-17)
A great big thank you to the staff and speakers
who are joining us for this year’s Virtual event. Some of our staff include our young adults who have grown up ‘through the ranks’ of the UK conferences and are now here as great role models with optimism to share! Our programme leaders and staff include several individuals who have been to many Friends for Life® UK conferences, working with, teaching, and supporting our kids and families. There’s a lot of history and experience with us. Please make sure you take the time to chat with each and every one of them.
